Reorder combo box

My user wants to make a change to an active database that I am not
sure will work and am looking for ways to make it happen

I have a combo box that populates from a table, when he entered his
data in the tabel he did not enter it in any specific order. For
instance it might be d,s,r,w,b,a. He now desires to rearrange data so
that it appears like s,r,t,b,c,w, in other words it is not an
ascending nor descending sort but it would better reflect his process
flow.

Is there any way I can rearrange the order of the material in a combo
box in a specific order without just reentering all the material in
the table which I think would destroy the intergtiry of the records
associated with the combo box.

Am I as clear as mud in what I am trying to do?

Sure. You just need to manually set the display order. If you are
sorting on Field2 of the table, and you want to sort by s,r,t,b,c,w, do
the following on the Row Source of the combo box:

SELECT Field1, Field2 FROM myTable ORDER BY Field2="s", Field2="r",
Field2="t", Field2="b", Field2="c", Field2="w";
